Gaspare De Pascali (b. 1988) is an emerging voice in contemporary Italian cinema, rapidly becoming a sought-after production designer both nationally and internationally. Known for his distinctive use of color and meticulous approach to set construction, De Pascali’s visual style has become a recognizable hallmark for filmmakers seeking immersive and emotionally resonant worlds.

Originally from Lecce, he cultivated his artistic and academic foundations in Ravenna and Bologna before continuing his studies in Melbourne, Australia. Upon returning to Italy, he quickly established a strong presence in the film industry. His debut as a production designer came with Hybris (2015).

In 2019, De Pascali began a prolific collaboration with Indigo Film, designing the sets for Bentornato Presidente, directed by Giancarlo Fontana and Giuseppe Stasi. This partnership continued with work on notable streaming productions, including Netflix’s Summertime and Amazon Prime Video’s acclaimed series The Bad Guy, further showcasing his ability to create rich, dynamic visual environments for the screen.

De Pascali’s recent projects highlight his expanding international reach and artistic versatility. He designed the set for Primavera (Spring), a feature film directed by Damiano Michieletto; the international series Concordia, produced by Frank Doelger; and Iddu, the latest film by Fabio Grassadonia and Antonio Piazza, which premiered in competition at the 81st Venice International Film Festival. He also designed the upcoming film Duse by Pietro Marcello, set to compete at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival.

With a growing body of influential work, Gaspare De Pascali continues to shape the visual language of contemporary cinema through bold design choices and a refined artistic vision.
